The members of IUCN are over 1400 governmental and non-governmental organisations. In over 50 countries its employee's full-time employees are over 1000. In Gland, Switzerland the headquarters of the company is located.

 To promote nature conservation and resources for sustainable use.  To promote and help the communities throughout the globe.  It also ensures the resources should be used that are sustainable.

History

 In 1948, it was founded by the name of IUPN.  In 1956, it was renamed from IUPN to IUCN. The list of Nature parks and equivalent reserves was made by IUCN in 1959.

Is India a member of IUCN

 In 1969, India became a state member of IUCN.  In 2007, India's country office was located in New Delhi.  To reduce the loss of species and ecosystem India works with the members and provides necessary tools.

Mission

The mission of IUCN is to ensure that resources used should be sustainable. The world's oldest organisation is IUCN. The world to conserve integrity.

Asia IUCN

To deliver the organisation world program Asia work with partners from different sectors. The communities that work with biodiversity conservation should be mobilised by the IUCN in Asia.
