Introduction

The people who pay the company and subscribe for the same ISP are used to providing the internet connection. The customer has to pay the nominal fee for the ISP.

History

The Telenet is the first ISP. It was introduced in 1974. The World internet service provider came in 1989. Google Fibre, Verizon, Jio, AT&T, etc are examples of ISP.

Characteristics

 An e-mail address is also provided by the ISP to its customers.  The high-speed internet services are provided so the customers are attracted to it and to stand in the market.

Types and list

 There are different types of ISP connections such as DSL, mobile broadband, cable broadband, etc.  The list of ISPs contains Airtel, BSNL, Hathway, Vodafone Idea, Reliance Jio, etc.

Advantages

The best uptime guarantee is given by the ISP.  A high degree of reliability and availability are offered by the ISP. The security of ISP is also good as it provides protection against the virus.

Disadvantages

 If a user gets blacklisted then ISP can directly affect the user.  For uptime and security users have to trust the user ISP.  ISP slows down the rate of download when ISP is stretched thin.
