How does HIV become AIDS?

White blood cells have a very important role in our body in fighting diseases but HIV destroys these cells. This weakens your immune system. When you are suffering from HIV but it shows no symptoms then it turns into AIDS.

– Use IV drugs: For this, they use needles and syringes. This enters into the blood cells. – Have an STI: This can open your genitals. Through this HIV enters your body.

Infections common to HIV/AIDS

Tuberculosis (TB) is a common infection that is associated with HIV. People can lose their life with AIDS. Candidiasis (thrush) is a common infection that causes inflammation and a thick white coating in your mouth, tongue, and so on.

Cancers common to HIV/AIDS

Lymphoma: This cancer starts from the white blood cells. Other symptoms of this cancer are painless swelling on the neck, armpit, and so on. Kaposi's sarcoma: In this cancer, you see the symptoms such as pink, purple, or red lesions on the skin and on the mouth.
