The full form of TIA is Transient Ischemic Attack. It is also known as Mini Stroke or similar to Mini Stroke because both of them have similar symptoms. However, it lasts for some minutes and also does not cost much damage. When our blood flow gets blocked anywhere in the body then it causes TIA or mini attack. When it occurs, the blood does not deliver to our brain for a short time. It lasts only for a few minutes. But don’t take it easy because every one person out of three who have suffered TIA also suffered from a big stroke.

Indications-:

*dullness, insensitivity, or paralysis in the face, arm, or leg, and it can affect typically one side of the body.
*Slurred or garbled communication or difficulty understanding others.
*Blindness in one or both eyes or doubled vision.
*Vertigo or loss of balance or balance.

A head CT scan or brain MR is required to detect TIA. TIA is a medical emergency. After a stroke, the patient is admitted for five to seven days. There are some problems caused after TIA such as arm and limb weakness or numbness, confusion and visual difficulties,  slurred speech, memory problems.  

  • There are TIA risks that you cannot control. You should keep some factors in mind.
  • Age- The factor of age matters a lot after you turn 55 years.
  • Family history- If anyone from your family had TIA then there are chances of yours to get TIA.
  • Gender- As compared to men, women have a higher TIA risk.
