A TGT teaches students under 10th std whereas  PGTs (Postgraduate Trained Teachers) teach above 10th std in school. The maximum age limit for Trained graduate teachers is considered as 35 years.

The candidates applying for TGT must need to appear for a Written Examination. The exam is an Objective test
that consists of MCQ questions only. The duration of the exam is 2 Hours. There are 125 MCQs. Each question carries 4 marks. There is no negative marking for the wrong question.
