The full form of EWS is the Economically Weaker Section. EWS is a category of people in India whose annual income doesn’t exceed one lakh rupees but they belong to the general category. Moreover, they do not belong to any other reservation category such as SC, ST, OBC, etc. A person may belong to an EWS reservation but it doesn’t mean they should be SC, ST, or OBC.
