CT is referred to as Computed Tomography which is often used to refer as the X-ray CT because it is the most and commonly and popularly known form. It is a combination of X-rays and computers that help to create a clear picture of a human’s organs, bones, and other tissues.
Doctors recommend CT scans for a lot of reasons –
• It can detect whether you have any bone and joint problems or not, like bone fractures and tumors.
• It helps the doctor to see the changes in cancer, heart disease, emphysema, or liver masses if a patient is having these problems.
• They help to see internal bleeding or injuries which are mostly caused by a car accident.
• It helps to locate the actual position of a tumor, blood clot, excess fluid, or infection.
There are many uses of CT scan, they are –

There are some restrictions when you will go for the CT scans. It is instructed to wear loose and comfortable clothes because you have to lie down on a procedure table. The hospital can also provide you with a hospital gown. You will also be instructed to remove the following things –
• eyeglasses
• jewelry, including body piercings
• hair clips
• dentures
• hearing aids
• bras with metal underwire.
