Full form of AMC, What is the full form of AMC?

The full form of AMC is Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita. Basically, this is a disease for newborn babies which in turn affects the flexibility of joints. The other signs of this AMC differ from person to person, however, it includes weakness in muscles and joints functioning will be quite harder. The AMC develops before the birth which is the Prenatal stage as well as during the birth which is the Congenita stage. This, in turn, leads to lesser movement of joints.

The major areas that affect AMC are wrists, elbows, knees, hips, and feet. When identified at the right point of time, the improvement is better and not worse like other diseases or infections. The important point of AMC is few causes of it are genetic oriented. Some of the symptoms of Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita are Thin, weak (atrophied), stiff or missing muscles, Stiff joints due to extra tissue (fibrosis or fibrous ankylosis), Differences in the skin around their joints, such as webbing. The pain appears more in adults with AMC compared with children with AMC.
