DVD is not made with a single format it comes in various formats into DVD + R which is known as recoverable DVD helps in recovering data. DVD+R Along with DVD +RW which means re-writeable DVD. DVD -RAM is known as random access memory and DVD ROM is known as read-only memory.

DVDs have better storage capacity than other compact discs with the same dimensions. DVDs are used to store digital data such as software programs, computer files, video programs, etc. DVD players are used to playing DVDs. It is referred to as an Optical disc that weighs only 16 grams in total.
