The full form of HTML is Hypertext Markup Language. It is basically used to create web pages and it is written in the form of HTML elements. This language actually means the tags which help to define the page layout and elements within the page. Their main focus is to look after how to display the information in the webpage, for example, the webpages which we see on our internet that are written in HTML code. HTML documents are displayed by web browsers. There are many web browsers, some of them are – Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Safari, Internet Explorer, etc. In the 1990s HTML was developed by Tim Berners-Lee. In 1993 initially, it got released. Till then many versions of HTML have been released. HTML5 gain more popularity currently because it has several extensive features. Some of them are as follows –
• Video – the user gets permission to watch the videos from the website.
• Figure – it helps to see the content such as photos, illustrations, diagrams, etc.
• Section – it helps to organize webpage content into thematic groups.
• Nav – it is used to that part of the user whose links are available to the other pages of the website.
• Header – it helps the introductory elements to group together on a website such as a logo, navigation items, search form, etc.
• Footer – it can be found at the bottom of the webpage which contains copyright information, links to social media, and navigation items.
