The full form of ECG is Electrocardiogram. As mentioned, this is a method that records the electrical activities of the heart. As the heartbeats, ECG records the electrical impulses. There is confusion between the short forms namely ECG and EKG. But in fact, both are the same. ECG means electrocardiogram and EKG means Elektrokardiogramm which is a German spelling.
