The ductus arteriosus is actually a blood vessel that is present in all babies while they are in the womb, and it also allows the blood to bypass the lungs. The common symptoms of patent ductus arteriosus depend on the size of the ductus and how much blood flow it carries. The basic common symptoms which a newborn may have are –
